Theo

This handsome guy is Theo and he's ready to rock your world.  Theo has it all - glorious, shiny black fur, a playful, loving demeanor, and the will to conquer.  Theo doesn't let anything get him down, not even being born with cerebellar hypoplasia ("wobbly cat" syndrome), being found as a free-roaming stray, being picked up by Animal Control, almost dying of panleukopenia in the shelter...Theo remains undaunted and motivated to thrive.

Theo is a young adult and under 10 lbs.  It's unlikely that he will get any bigger.  He is neutered, vaccinated, and dewormed.  Theo was born with cerebellar hypoplasia, a condition caused by his mom being sick while she was pregnant.  CH is not a degenerative condition and does not cause suffering.  Theo can walk, groom, eat, drink, climb, play, navigate staircases, use the litterbox.  He is wobbly and sometimes falls down but he pops right back up again.  He has excellent control over his situation and doesn't require any special accommodations aside from a high-sided, walk-in litterbox, which he uses faultlessly and without fail.

Theo loves cat trees and his plush donut-shaped cat bed, where he makes biscuits and suckles and sleeps for hours.  Theo is very playful, loves catnip and goes gaga for treats.  He's not the best snuggler (in your lap or in bed), but he does love being picked up for affection and will gently press his head against you, which is his version of a hug.  Theo is not very vocal, so he's not going to sing you the song of his people all night long.

This sunshiney, delightful boy has truely inspired his foster with his resilience, individuality, and determination.  We are seeking a stellar forever home for him where he can continue to shine.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.
