Description:

Poppy looks like a mini-lab and she has short round snout and floppy ears. She has a cute underbite a a white patch on the tip of the chin. We do not know what her background is but we do know it was not good. She is a fearful, shy dog that needs to build confidence. She can be skittish but does want love and attention and will come for pets when she feels brave enough. She has even jumped up in her foster's lap once or twice. She  does get along with the other dogs in her foster home and likes to be around them. It gives her confidence and helps her feel safe.  She does sleep on her Foster's bed with the other dogs in the home. She is better with women than men. She is scared of loud noises and quick movements. If she is outside in the yard and becomes scared of anything she will come in  immediately  Poppy will need a quiet, calm, home and requires a fenced in yard .She would also do better with another friendly dog in the home. In new situations and with new people she is fearful  and is skittish. She will need an adopter who is willing to continue to help her as she learns about living in a world with people who are kind. She’ll do best with a person who can be patient and give her positive experiences to help her come out of her shell. She is coming along and continues to make gains. If you think you can be Poppy's hero, fill out an application at Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue.   Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
