Description:

Meet the stunning Minnie. She is delightful and has a wonderful temperament and disposition. You would not know by looking at her that she has had a very rough start in her young life. She is joyful and loving and would be a wonderful addition to any family. She will require a large, securely fenced yard with another calm, confident dog to chase and play with, as well as continue to teach her how to "dog." She has likely never been in a home, or on a leash prior to arriving at her foster home, where she has several small fur siblings, that she plays well with. She loves toys, chew toys, and running in the yard with the other pups. She is submissive with her fur siblings and has shown no aggressive behavior whatsoever. She is lovely all around, very intelligent, and almost completely house trained, but will need a patient adopter who will give her the time she needs to feel secure and gain confidence; someone who is home more often than not is preferred. She would benefit from obedience classes to continue her learning and socialization, as she is anxious upon meeting new people and in new situations; she will bark when encountering someone new. She will need a securely fenced yard, and cannot be left outside unattended, as she is a flight risk. She is working on her leash training and enjoys long walks. She still has some puppy behaviors; specifically digging, play biting and inappropriate chewing. She is very vocal, so will not be suited for an apartment; I suspect she may have some husky in her. She is a young, active pup, but can also settle and cuddle on the couch.

Although she is only 20 pounds, she is tall and lean, so not a lap dog. Her fur is wiry, so she will shed moderately. She is scheduled for her spay on April 2nd, and will be microchipped at that time. She has tested positive for Lyme disease, and is currently on a 30-day course of antibiotics. She has not been tested with children, but I suspect she will do well as she is gentle and loving. If you think you might be the perfect fit for this special girl, please fill out an application.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
