Other Pictures of Scout (click to see larger version):Are you looking for a sweet lover of a dog that is full of puppy energy? Scout is a lab x shepherd mix that we think is just under a year old and very much acts like a puppy. We think he gets his high energy from his shepherd side and his love of people from the lab side. He will want to give everyone he meets a hug and because of that is best suited for a home without small children. He has not met a stranger and loves everyone (except his vet staff). He is currently learning leash manners. He is not afraid of anything when out on walks and will pull you with when he explores. Like many shepherds he wants to bond with his people and talks when the leave but settles well in his crate once he knows they aren't letting him back out. He is crated when alone but does not soil his crate. His favorite toy is a ball and will chase it all day and night and does come back with it. He has met 3 (large breed) dogs since coming into rescue and just wants to play with everyone. (Both males and a female). He currently weighs in at 63 pounds but we think that he is still growing. Scout is looking for a household that is active and willing to work with him since he is the type of dog that needs a job for him mentally. If you do not have a fenced in yard, he will need a super active family. Due to him not knowing his own size he would be best suited for a home without small animals or young children. Scout has been vaccinated, microchipped, and is scheduled for his neuter.
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
