Snookie is an adorable Shih Tzu mix.  She has a coarse black coat with reddish/gold highlights and expressive eyes.  We don't know much about her background except that she was surrendered to a rural Ohio shelter in medical distress due to a condition called pyrometra.  She received emergency medical care and spent a month or so recuperating at the shelter.  Snookie is a nervous and skittish dog so we are not recommending placement in a home with children.  With those she trusts, she seeks affection and attention.  As she adjusts to her foster home, her personality is starting to show.  She loves to play with stuffed toys and be outdoors checking out everything, especially the smells!  She is quite active and would love a fenced-in yard she can run around in.  She has fear issues with leashes and brushes, and bolts when you come toward her with one or the other.  She is getting better with this and it is hoped she will overcome this fear all together once she has fully adjusted to her new home.  She seems house trained, has had no accidents in the foster home, and keeps her crate clean at night.  Snookie resides with several other dogs and has no issues with any of them.  

Snookie is UTD on vaccines, microchipped and spayed.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
