Description:

This sweet girl was left behind when her human moved. He never gave her a name, just called her girl. We now call her Sylvie.  She is spayed, UTD on vaccines and microchipped.  Sylvie has been adopted a couple times, but returned due to nipping (not biting) and toy aggression.  Border Collies are herding dogs and one of the traits of herding dogs is nipping.  Unfortunately, Sylvie is  scared of storms, thunder, and lightning, gunshots, cars backfiring and fireworks, and needs to be with her people inside the home.  She does not like to be left out alone.  She should not be in a home with cats, dogs, or children.  Basically, Sylvie needs to be an only child in an all-adult home where she will get lots of stimulation to channel her energy positively.   Sylvie walks well on a leash, but if something scares her she will pull. She fetches, she sits on command and loves to go for car rides.

Because of her behaviors, Sylvie has a lot of strikes against her.  But we are hopeful that there is a person or persons out there that will give Sylvie the love, training, and consistently she desperately  needs. That person or persons must be a strong pack leader who can redirect Sylvie's impulses into appropriate energy.

Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
