Description:
Elsa is about 1 1/2 to 2 yrs old and weighs about 50 lbs.
Elsa is a little shy at first, and was a little scared to go outside, and then the same when coming back in. She has only had one potty accident in our home, and that was in the first few days and was still a little nervous of us. Now she is comfortable, goes in and out just fine and has not had any further accedents.
Elsa is good in her crate, we only keep her in it overnight or when no one is home, and she does very well. She will also just lay in her crate with the door open during the day to nap or eat a treat.
She is good with other dogs, but a little to curious and playful for small dogs, so a bigger dog friends would be best. Same with children, just due to her size and playfulness she would probably do well with older children.
Elsa needs training on a leash, she is strong and she pulls, however, due to the cold wether, we have not been on many walks to know how she truly is and how she settles into them.
She is still a chewer so she would need lots of chew toys so she doesn’t start on things that shouldn't be chewed.
As mentioned, Elsa is good with other dogs, and seems ok with cats, we have a cat but the cat stays away from her so were not sure how good she is with them, but she tends to just watch her walk past and is not very interested. However, they have not spent a lot of time in the same room together yet to get a good indication, but I think she would probably do fine with them at this point.
Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.
